Since 1955, children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities have counted on our ability to provide excellent services and support. While the developmental disabilities system is ever-changing, Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities adapts and continues to coordinate vital services throughout the entire lifespan.

Our Recreation and Wellness Program focuses on providing people who have developmental disabilities with opportunities for socialization and healthy living skills. The social experiences provided are created to build and maintain relationships with others, both within the group and in the community. Recreational activities are a great way to form lasting friendships, encourage others, and learn more about living a healthy and active lifestyle!

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received until 11:00 a.m. EST, on the 5th day of April, 2024, by the Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Bowling Green, Ohio, at the Community Supports Building (Entrance C) conference room, 1921 East Gypsy Lane Road, Entrance F, Bowling Green, Ohio, and immediately opened thereafter. Such proposals as herein concerned shall be for the following described: ITEM I: Bids for one (1) New 2024 or 2025 ¬72-Passenger type C School Bus, with flat floor and lift (ADA). ITEM II: A certified check or bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid must accompany each bid. ITEM III: Bid prices must be firm for sixty (60) days. ITEM IV: A signed affidavit relating to delinquent personal property taxes. Bidding blanks for the same shall be on a prescribed blank and obtained by contacting Lynne Beard, Bus Transportation Supervisor, of the said Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities located at 1921 East Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. All bids shall be properly signed by an authorized representative of the bidder. All bids shall be sealed and plainly marked “SEALED BID FOR BUS”. Bid form is also available on our web site at www.woodcountydd.org. From the Homepage click on “Our Community” and then click on “News” where you will find the “Notice to Bidders” icon to view information. The Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted and waive any irregularities.
