They implement person centered plans and document services.

They transport people to work, appointments and activities.

They provide personal care to bathe and dress, provide safe transfers to and from wheelchairs, etc.

They schedule and obtain appropriate medical and dental care for people they serve.

They assist with banking and budget management and make sure people have what they need.

They plan meals and provide cooking instructions.

They respond to mental health emergencies and provide behavioral supports.

They administer medication and treatments and document according to delegated nursing standards.

They connect people with friends and natural supports in their communities.

Being a Direct Service Provider is Rewarding! EARN $1,000 TOWARDS COLLEGE TUITION!

There are many rewards to becoming a DSP – you have the opportunity to change lives, learn transferable skills, participate in fun activities, and get paid for doing it!

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - EARN $1,000 TOWARDS COLLEGE TUITION!

1.    You must complete 200 hours working as a DSP in Wood County during your Senior Year and/or the summer following graduation

2.    Prior approval is required

COLLEGE STUDENTS AT BGSU & OWENS COMMUNITY COLLEGE – EARN $1,000 TOWARDS TUITION!

1.    You must work 200 hours/semester (spring or fall) for a certified Wood County Provider

2.    Prior approval is required
