Volunteers are vital in supporting people with developmental disabilities as they participate in and enjoy a variety of activities in our community. Our volunteers generously assist in enhancing our programs. While coming from diverse backgrounds, the characteristics that define and unite our volunteers are empathy, compassion, and the desire to help others.
Volunteering with the Wood County Board of DD can be a very rewarding experience. It will give you the opportunity to explore a career area, meet new people, empower others and share your natural gifts and talents to make a difference in someone’s life. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities including Special Olympics (Webpage), Wood Lane School (Webpage), Recreation (Webpage) and more!
If you have a desire to support people with physical and intellectual disabilities, we’d love to have you as a volunteer!
