For almost fifty years, Wood Lane School has been a viable educational alternative for students with varying disabilities. Wood Lane offers a unique approach to the flexibility required in providing services for students with special needs through age 22.
Each class is made up of six to eight students. The staff/student ratio is low to meet the physical, medical, and educational needs of the children served by Wood Lane.
In addition to classroom staff, children also receive services as designated by their individualized educational program (IEP). These services may include: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Community Education, Music, Behavior Supports, Service Coordination, Adaptive Physical Education, Nursing, Transportation, Communication and Language Development, Social Interaction, Vocational Training and Job Development. The school also operates a full-service breakfast and lunch program according to the guidelines provided by Ohio Department of Education.
